Educational Programs

Overview

Our incredibly fun hands-on classes are designed to engage students in practical learning. Kids becomes chefs for the day as they step into our World-Class kitchens to learn the basics of food safety and restaurant operations. Each program is followed with lunch in our comfortable and air-conditioned dining room. Programs start at 10 or 10:30am with the lesson and kitchen experience first, lunch follows the lesson. The entire visit lasts about 90 minutes. Events are available for groups of 20-200. Space is limited and subject to availabilty. Zanaro's Pizza Classes

Go behind the scenes and learn to make our homemade pizzas. From our Italian kitchen to your plate, you get to see a hands on demonstration by our chefs in our open kitchen!  After the class, the excited participants dine on the very pizza that they learned how to make!  Located at the City Center in White Plains. Chevys Tortilla Classes

Lunch has never been more festive and fun! These interactive programs will have campers begging for more. Discover the secrets to making a perfect tortilla and then enjoy delicious, fresh tacos. Applebee's Kitchen Tours

New York's favorite restaurant is now New York's favorite classroom. This groundbreaking program will introduce students of all ages to the workings of a high-volume kitchen. From food safety to cleanliness, students are sure to leave with a new appreciation of an ordinary dining experience. Following the class, each student receives an Applebee's Junior Chef Certificate - a perfect item to hang on the fridge. 26 locations in all 5 boroughs, Westchester and Rockland Counties. Price

Children 11 or under - $10 per child; includes lunch, soft drinks, ice cream dessert and gratuity.
Adults 12 or older - $14 per person includes lunch, soft drinks, ice cream dessert and gratuity.
